PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY
We believe that, because Jesus finished the work of our salvation, by faith we are made new and complete in Him. We believe that a person need not be constrained by their past. All believers are, by grace, given new identity as children of God through the "Spirit of adoption" (Rom 8:19). This is not the result of the good works that we have done, but of the perfect work which Jesus has done for us. He performed the work of our salvation, and we are complete in Him. Totally complete.
With this new birth believers are also gifted to minister in the church as they are led by God. Our philosophy of ministry might well be expressed in 2 Corinthians 5:14, "The love of Christ compels us." God made the essence of ministry very simple. He performed the work of love in doing for us what we could not do for ourselves. He initiated the flow of love. He just asks us to get into the flow with Him, sharing His personal love with others.
This makes ministry a joy. We are free simply to come alongside and love another who feels the same need for God's love that we have all known. We can have fun doing it. We can also comfort the one who mourns, and we can lift up the one who is cast down. All because Christ has freely done this for each of us.
So, come on in. Make yourself comfortable. God will reveal to you, in due time, whether this is the home He has for you.
